Vegan persian rice pudding (sholezard)

1 cup jasmine rice or rice pudding 6-7 cups water 2 cups sugar 30g vegan block butter 1/4 tsp saffron dissolved in 1tbs hot water 1/4 cup rose water 30g silvered or chopped unsalted almonds 1/8 tsp salt For garnish: Silvered or chopped unsalted pistachio, almond, and ground cinnamon. Prepare in advance: Rinse the rice with cold water several times and soak in water at least for 30 mins. Equipment needed: One medium/ large ovenproof pot Wooden ladle
